How you can support us
Spread the word - Share our network with your First Nations colleagues/employees
Establish new pathways for engagement with First Nations development practitioners
Providing resources that build the capacity of AFNAD as a network whilst allowing us to maintain our independence
We are always open to new learning and networking opportunities for our members. If you have experience or an idea that is relevant to First Nations development professionals, reach out to us to see if this is something our members would be interested in
Provide sponsorship or opportunities for AFNAD members to attend Industry events
If you or your organisation are hosting discussions around First Nations engagement, create space for First Nations voices from the beginning
While we deeply appreciate your support through the pathways outlined above, please respect the autonomy of our members, and of AFNAD as an independent First Nations led association. We are first and foremost a culturally safe networking platform for First Nations development professionals. While we are happy to provide advisory and other services at the discretion of individual members, please respect our following guidelines:
As an independent association, we kindly request that our supporters refrain from seeking credit or ownership for our establishment. It is essential to understand that the association's establishment and achievements are the result of our own efforts, vision, and the collective work of our members. By acknowledging this, supporters can ensure that they are providing the association with the space and recognition they deserve while maintaining a respectful and collaborative relationship.
Engagement with AFNAD members should be designed in a reciprocal manner, ensuring that they are not solely extractive but also provide tangible benefits and opportunities for the AFNAD membership, such as capacity-building initiatives, resource sharing, and fostering meaningful partnerships based on mutual respect and shared goals.
Thank you
We would like to thank the following organisations for supporting AFNAD through avenues that promote Indigenous empowerment and self-determination.
